Day 1: Guwahati – Bhalukpong (220 Kms/5-6 Hrs)
Meet and assist on arrival and then leave for Bhalukpong. Overnight in Bhalukpong.
Day 2: Bhalukpong – Dirang (180 Kms/6-7 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Dirang passing through Bhalukpong. Enroute visit Tipi Orchid Research Centre. Overnight in Dirang.
Day 3: Dirang
After breakfast visit Sangti valley situated about 14 kilometres from Dirang. It is surrounded by the towering ranges of Eastern Himalayas, blessed with pleasant weather round the year with maybe some light snowfall in the winter months, covered with fruit orchards (kiwi fruit, apple, apricot, orange), dotted with pristine forests and meandering fast hill rivers. Later explore Thembang a village within a fortified area measuring approximately 3.2 Acres. It is a host to several ancient and historical structures and has drawn the maximum attention for the fortified Dzong constructed using traditional technology of the region. Due to the richness of heritage structures found in the village, locals consider the village of Thembang itself as a monument.
If time and conditions permit, visit Kalachakra a 500 years old monastery in Arunachal Pradesh, which makes it quite a famous tourist attraction in the state. The monastery is situated in a village of the same name. It is a beautiful little monastery with mosaic work. Mostly Buddhist monks and pilgrims are seen visiting this sacred place. Overnight in Dirang.
Day 4: Dirang – Tawang (140 Kms/6-7Hrs)
Drive passing through typical Monpa village at Dirang. After viewing the beautiful valley of Dirang overlooking the river, proceed towards the Sela Pass (13703 ft) and spend some lovely times by the paradise lake. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 5: Tawang
Half day explore Tawang Monastery, founded by Mera Lama Lodre Gyaltso during the 17th century A.D. a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama. then return to visit Tawang War Memorial.Overnight at Tawang.
Tour to PT Shu Lake/Madhuri Lake/ and Bumla pass (Subject to weather condition and approval from Concerned Authority).
Day 6: Tawang – Bomdila (180 Kms/6-7 Hrs)
Early morning, drive to Jang to get a breathtaking view of waterfalls. Pay homage at the Jaswant Garh Indo Chinese War Memorial and down hill drive to Bomdila. Overnight in Bomdila.
Day 7: Bomdila – Tezpur (180 Kms/5-6 Hrs)
After breakfast, visit Bomdila Monastery and then leave for Tezpur. On reaching Tezpur check in at Hotel. Later if time permits visit Agnigarh and Mahabhairab Temple. Overnight in Tezpur.
Day 8: Tezpur – Ziro (270 Kms/6-7 Hrs)
After breakfast leave for Ziro- the district headquarters of the Lower Subansiri district. It is included in the Tentative List for UNESCO’s World Heritage Site for the Apatani cultural landscape. The part of the town which is the centre of economic activities and where the administrative offices are located is called as Hapoli or locally known by the Apatanis as “Hao-Polyang”
Day 9: Ziro Sightseeing
After breakfast, we will come out the whole day for sightseeing at Ziro, located 5754 feet above the sea level and it is the headquarters of the Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a highland surrounded by Apatani tribal villages of Diibo, Hija, Bulla, Hari and Hong. The uniqueness of Apatani tribe is the tattoos on women & man body and nose rings worn by women. Overnight stay at Ziro.
Day 10: Ziro – Pasighat (300 Kms/ 7-8 Hrs)
After breakfast, we will move towards Pasighat the headquarters of East Siang district in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Situated at the eastern foothills of the Himalayas at 155 meters above mean sea level, Pasighat is Arunachal’s oldest town. On arrival check in at Hotel. Overnight at Pasighat.
Day 11: Pasighat After breakfast, set off for sightseeing of Pasighat the land of the mighty Siang and indigenous hanging bridges.Visit the Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary home to thousands of migratory birds from Siberia and Mongolia and is of interest to the amateur and the serious ornithologist alike. Or one can enjoy rafting in the mighty Siang river or just enjoy the river side. Overnight in Pasighat. |
Day 12: Pasighat – Dibrugarh Airport (150 km/3 Hrs) |
After breakfast, transfer to Dibrugarh airport to take the flight home. |
