Guwahati – Arrival – Shillong (About – 120 kms 4 hrs)
Day 01: Assistance on arrival at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport Guwahati, Guwahati Railway Station and transfer to Shillong “Scotland of the East”. Check-in to your hotel on arrival. Eveing visit Umiam Lake (also known as Barapani lake) biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya. Overnight in Shillong. (Arrival should be before 5 pm in order to go to Shillong the same day) (Dinner)
Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong (Approx 55 Kms 2 Hrs one way)
Day 02: Post breakfast embark on an excursion trip to Cherrapunjee visiting – Seven Sister Waterfalls, Mawsmai Cave (Limestone Caves), Thangkharang Park and Nohkailikai Falls (world’s fourth highest). On your way back visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. Return to hotel. Overnight in Shillong. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Shillong – Mawlynnong Village – Dawki Village – Shillong
Day 03: Post breakfast embark on day trip to Mawlynnong Village (Cleanest Village in Asia) visiting Living Route Bridge and Balancing Rock. Later proceed to Dawki Village, visiting Umngot River
(Transparent River), Dawki Bridge (Suspension bridge built by the British in 1932) and Tamabil Border (Indo – Bangladesh Road Border). Evening back to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Shillong – Tezpur (Approx 265 Kms 7 ½ Hrs)
Day 04: Post Breakfast take the transfer to Tezpur. Check-in to your hotel on arrival. Overnight stay in Tezpur. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Tezpur – Dirang (Approx – 140 kms 4 ½ hrs)
Day 05: After breakfast we take the transfer to Dirang (4910 ft). Check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Dirang. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Dirang – Tawang (Approx – 152 kms 5 hrs)
Day 06: After breakfast we take the transfer to Tawang (12000 ft). Enroute visit Se La Pass (14000 ft) ‘The World’s 2nd Highest Pass’ and Jaswant Garh. Check-in to your hotel on arrival. Overnight stay in Tawang. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Tawang – Sightseeing
Day 07: Post breakfast we embark on a sightseeing tour of Tawang covering Tawang Monastery, Urgelling Monastery, Pakang Teng Tso Lake, Maduri Lake and Bumla Pass. Overnight stay in Tawang.
The Famous Galden Namgyal Lhatse, popularly known as Tawang Monastery was founded by Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso in the year 1680-81. The monastery stands on the spur of a hill, about 10,000 feet above sea level and has ravines in the south and west, narrow ridge on the north and gradual slope on the east. It offers a commanding and picturesque view of the Tawang-chu valley. From a distance it appears like a fort as if guarding the votaries in the wide valley below. Tawang monastery is the largest of its kind in the country and is one of the largest monasteries in Asia. Though it has the capacity for housing about seven hundred monks, the actual number of resident lamas (monks) at present is a little more than 450. Tawang – Bomdila (Approx – 190 kms 5 hrs)
Day 08: Post breakfast we take the transfer to Bomdila. Check-in to your hotel on arrival. Later embark on a half day sightseeing tour of Bomdila including visit to Handicraft Centre. Overnight stay in Bomdila.
Bomdila is a beautiful small town situated at a height of about 8000 ft. above the sea level from where one can see the brilliant landscape and snow-clad mountains of the Himalayan Range. The Buddhist Monastery of Bomdila is the repository of culture and is among primary attractions of the area. Bomdila is the headquarters of West Kameng district located at the height of 8500 ft above the sea level. Attractions – Apple orchards, artistic people, snow-capped Himalayan peaks and Buddhist Gompas. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Bomdila – Kaziranga (Approx 204 Kms 6 Hrs)
Day 09: Post breakfast take the transfer to Kaziranga. Check in upon arrival. Overnight in Kaziranga. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Kaziranga National Park – Sightseeing
Day 10: Early Morning enjoy the Elephant Safari (5.30 Am to 06.30 AM), Elephant ride is the best way to explore the wide varieties of wildlife in the Kaziranga National Park. Return to hotel. After breakfast we embark on a Jeep Safari to Kaziranga National Park (Central / Western Range subjected to availability). Return to hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Kaziranga – Guwahati (Approx 217 Kms 4 Hrs)
Day 11: Post breakfast take the transfer to Guwahati. Check in upon arrival. Afternoon visit Kamakhya Devi Temple. Evening Brahmaputra River Cruise (on extra). Overnight in Guwahati. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Guwahati – Departure
Day 12: Post breakfast check out from the hotel and take the transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey (Breakfast)
