Day 1: Arrive – Agartala
On arrival transfer and check in at Hotel. If time permits, visit the Indo-Bangladesh border to witness the flag retreat ceremony at the Akhuara check gate. Overnight in Agartala.
Day 2: Agartala
After breakfast Visit the Ujjayanta Palace, which was built in the Indo-Saracen style in 1901 by Maharaja Radhakishore Manikya. Later visit Neermahal, Tripura’s major tourist attraction which is located at a distance of 55Kms from Agartala. It is a summer resort built in the middle of a lake named Rudrasagar, with a total area of about 5.35 sq. km. It is the only lake palace in Eastern India and has been built in a mixture of Hindu and Mughal styles. (Enroute visit Tripureswari Temple before returning back to Agartala). Overnight in Agartala.
Day 3: Agartala – aizawl (by Air)
Transfer to Agartala Airport to take a flight to Aizawl. On arrival transfer to Aizawl (The scenic capital of Mizoram, is a religious and cultural center of the Mizos. The town is blessed with exotic natural beauty and is famous for its handicrafts. It is an ideal hill station for tourists looking for solitude and clean air). On arrival check in at Hotel and Relax.
Day 4: Aizawl
Sightseeing of Aizawl town which will include the visit to the State museum (This museum is situated at Mc Donald Hill in the town center. Open Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Though small, it has an interesting collection of historical relics, ancient costumes and traditional implements), Bara Bazar This is the main shopping center with stalls selling garments and other commodities. Later visit Reiek Heritage Village or one can opt for an optional soft trekking to Reiek – a mountain and tourist spot 29km from Aizawl, Mizoram, India. It rests at an elevation of 1548 metres overlooking Aizawl and offers a view of the surrounding valleys and hills. On a clear day the plains of Bangladesh can be seen from the top of the hill. Reiek Hill is surrounded by thick lush green temperate trees and bushes. Later drive back to Aizawl and Overnight.
Day 5: Aizawl- Imphal (by Air)
After breakfast, I transferred to Aizawl airport to take a flight to Imphal. On Arrival at Imphal airport after ILP formalities transfer to hotel. If time permits, visit Govindajee Temple and Kangla Fort.
Day 6: Imphal-loktak
Today we will visit the largest freshwater lake in North East India – Loktak Lake which is approx 1 hrs drive from Imphal, enroute visit Imphal Peace Museum, Japanese War Memorial. Later return to Imphal and overnight.
Day 7: Imphal Sightseeing
Full day Imphal sightseeing includes Shree Govindajee Temple, Kangla Fort, After lunch explore the famed Ima Market (the largest all women market), living Pologround, Sahid minar all located in the heart of the city. Overnight in Imphal.
Day 8: Imphal – Andro – Kakching
After breakfast Visit Andro (The place is famed for its fireplace which is never allowed to get extinguish) towards east of Imphal is the ancient village of Andro a typical meitei village still upholding the age old traditions, there is also one Cultural Complex established by the Mutua Museum. Explore the village to experience the local’s lifestyle, traditions, rituals etc. The place is also famed for its local wine and is the only legitimate place near Imphal where rice wine is made in most households. One can go inside the houses of the friendly locals and observe the entire process. Later visit Kakching Garden and Khongjom War Memorial before driving back to Imphal. Overnight in Imphal.
Day 9: Imphal – Kohima (140kms/5 Hrs)
Drive to Kohima enroute visit Kisama Heritage Village it’s a permanent site for the Annual Hornbill Festival. On arrival check in at a Hotel in Kohima. Later visit Kohima War Cemetery. Overnight in Kohima.
Day 10: Kohima-khonoma
After breakfast, visit Khonoma Village – Asia’s first Green Village. Explore the village by walking around with a local guide. who will explain to you the unique culture and traditions of the village. You will be experiencing the real Naga village life. Return to Kohima and Relax. Afternoon Visit the Kohima Cathedral. The church is noted for its architecture which incorporates many elements of traditional Naga houses, including its facade which resembles that of a Naga house. Overnight in Kohima.
Day 11: Kohima – Imphal
After breakfast, drive back to Imphal enroute visit Kanglatombi War Memorial a memorial built in the memory of the soldiers who died during World War II. On arrival check in at Hotel. Overnight in Imphal.
Day 12: Depart Imphal
Transfer to Imphal Airport to take a flight for return.
